Building Better Futures for WA’s Seniors
I have been part of this wonderful industry for 35 years, and I’ve never seen a rosier picture for our clients. Home values in the suburbs are up 40% compared to three years ago, government pension payments and Centrelink rebates have increased, and any cash released from downsizing is now generating better returns to help fund an enhanced lifestyle.
On top of that, the new-generation Providence resorts offer even greater value with better facilities, homes, weekly inclusions, longer lease terms (40 years more), and, best of all, no exit fees.
The challenge is that very few land lease communities have been developed in the past decade to meet Western Australia’s growing demand. We’re addressing this by expanding the number of Providence projects, though finding the right locations and navigating complex planning, environmental, and infrastructure requirements takes time.
As our resorts grow, so does our team. We’re delighted to welcome several new faces at Providence Lifestyle Group: Tane Maxted-Frost (Development Manager), Mai Shimizu (Executive Assistant), Mel Cattai (HR & Compliance Coordinator), Leon Boyatzis (Head of Funds Management), and James Wiriadisastra (Financial Controller). At Henley Brook Lifestyle Resort, Monique Parker has joined as Resort Administrator. Their talent will help us continue delivering the life-enriching environments our clients love.
Because many of our clients are still working, or the kids haven’t moved out yet — and in many cases, one marriage partner has yet to reveal to the other that they’re thinking about getting a divorce — it often takes a few years to plan the next chapter of life.
This magazine focuses on the resorts that are either available now or soon to be released, but I wanted to share with you the other locations the Providence team is working on in the background, which will be released for WA’s empty nesters, early retirees, and divorcees over the coming few years.
In addition to the five resorts presented in this magazine, the additional resorts we expect to bring to market over the next three years include one in the Shire of Busselton, another in the Shire of Armadale, three in the Shire of Wanneroo, and an additional two in the Shire of Swan.
As these get closer to fruition, we will continue to keep you informed in case you would like to include them in your next chapter plans.
